Alison Lambert - 'Blog - Taste of My Life'


After many years travelling i have since returned home (Dunedin) with a young family. I was trained in classical fine dining cuisine but after work experience in such restaurants like the River Cafe in London, living and working in France, Greece, Spain, Austria etc.

I realised it was time to step out of the kitchen and to start sharing my passion, enthusiasm and knowledge of food with everyday people. I now do live cooking classes on a weekly basis in front of thousands of market goers at the Otago Farmers Market (national winner of best farmers market). I work very closely with the producers and I have found just how much i care about where my food comes from.

I create recipes with what is soley grown and crafted in our region, I cook totally with what is in season and i have been on a mission since returning home to get this message across to all ages. I hope to spread the word of what is going on down here in the far-south and to get you all back in the kitchen with a smile on your face!
