Are we getting too nostalgic? (comments 3)

I’ve noticed over the past year or two that there’s been a real trend towards nostalgia in food. Restaurants are serving once-forgotten cuts of meat like lamb shanks and various types of offal; recipe books full of ‘just like grandma used to make’ recipes abound. Potato potato potato......

How would you feel about eating nothing but potatoes for two months? That’s what one keen potato promoter in the USA has decided to do. Chris Voigt is executive director of the Washington State Potato Commission. He’s pledged to eat nothing but potatoes for two months, and what’s more he’s not eating them with toppings or side dishes or embellishments – just plain potatoes; up to 20 a day. more>
