SIDART restaurant has unveiled a new look. Recent renovations have opened the kitchen to create a more interactive dining experience where patrons can feel free to approach chefs, discuss the meals and watch courses being plated. This fine dining restaurant tucked away on Ponsonby Road is a unique and sophisticated experience. And with a magnificent view over the city – SIDART offers the highest standard in fine dining.
In addition to their nine course tasting menu, four course a la carte and regular a la carte - they also have a five course lunch menu available. At $50 per person for five courses, this is a perfectly-sized meal for lunch time. The menu changes weekly and is only available on Fridays.
The refreshing open space is complimented by an exquisite new entrees menu showcasing a range of scintillating creations by renowned chef, Sid Sahrawat. Created with a selection of organic vegetables and free-range meats, the new entrees are sure to entice appetites and tantalize tastebuds.
Sid Sahrawat is one of New Zealand's most exciting chefs, revered within the industry for his innovative and inspirational cooking. He uses his famously precise techniques to create art on a plate. Cutting-edge flavour combinations, textural contrasts and inspired visual composition make his cooking both thoughtprovoking and intensely satisfying.
SIDART has won Metro magazine’s Best New Restaurant for 2010 and Best Dish for 2011. Cuisine magazine has nominated it in its 50 best New Zealand Restaurants for 2011. Sid was also a guest judge for the second season of Masterchef.
