My daughter and I just made Alexa Johnston "Russian Fudge" recipe on this site. It may or may not be Kiwi, but let's claim it; because apparently it's certainly not Russian.

Our fresh seafood is unbeatable ... our salmon is amongst the world's best - try the Regal Pastrami which just melts in your mouth and enjoy with your favourite wine; or get your mussels from the market and steam them open and drizzle with a good balsamic vinegar & season; or get the fresh scallops now available and simmer in wine & season; or any of our wonderful white fish - when it's fresh it's absolutely devine no matter how we prepare it - fresh means it will just melt in your mouth.

Whitebait fritter, homemade mayo on two slices of white bread sitting somewhere along the West Coast, yes a little cliche but try it, pretty wonderful if the sun is setting too.

Epilito Pizza in Onehunga, Auckland, these are the girls that went to the World Pizza Champs in Vegas and I think placed 3rd. Genuine thin crust pizza, simplistic but divinne, buy one, a six pack of Summer Ale head to One Tree Hill and relax over the great view.

For me it is the freshly brewed and prepared Underground coffee whilst walking through Hagley Park each morning on my way to work. At this time of year there is no better way to start the day.
