All coffee making/barista workshops are taken by David Huang, David is co-owner of Espresso Workshop and is an experienced barista competitor. In the 2009 Barista Championships David came 1st in Auckland and 3rd in New Zealand, David also teaches the MIT course in Barista Operations. Coffee appreciation workshops are taken by Andrew Smart, Andrew is Espresso Workshop's other owner and leads the company's roasting operation. Andrew has more then 5 years of roasting experience and takes particular interest in obtaining and in-depth understanding of the beans that he roasts with. The roastery has recently been re-designed to ensure that Andrew has the tools to focus much of his time on coffee tasting and quality assurance.
Domestic Workshop
Designed for those that have an espresso machine in their home or office. This is the first step in allowing you to prepare good quality espresso. This workshop will provide you with an understanding of espresso preparation concepts including the practical application of preparing the full range of espresso beverages as well as maintaining your machine.

Barista Workshop 101
The first step in becoming a professional Barista. This workshop includes, understanding the concept of 'Barista', the techniques of espresso preparation, understanding your equipment, cleaning techniques and all the factors required in performing the full role of a 'Barista'. Please note that to advance your professional cometency we recommend Barista 201, Barista 301 and the Milk Workshop.

Coffee Appreciation/Cupping Coffee
For the coffee enthusiast! Explore and learn about the taste of coffee. The emphasis of the workshop will be focused on some single origins, we will discuss the background of the feature coffees and most importantly taste the coffees.
