I would like to welcome Jason the Baker who will teach us how to make some simply delicious breads - on this occasion SOURDOUGH. Jason has been baking bread professionally for over 20 years. His profession has taken him to some of the most stunning regions of the world, Le Trou Restaurant (San Francisco), La Baguette (Colorado Springs), La Rochelle (Caen, France) and a variety of placements in Italy. His first role in New Zealand was baking for the syndicates ( Prada, Mascalzone Latino, Oracle, Stars and Stripes) at both America’s Cups. His breads are now sold to leading hotels and restaurants in Auckland and Wellington and through selected Farmers Markets in Auckland. Jason says: “Baking in general can be one of the most rewarding and therapeutic activities that costs very little yet yields great results. Learning this ‘almost forgotten’ skill is an excellent time to reconnect for individuals, couples, groups and families”.
