Drip Stew

Ingredients

500 grms stewing steak cubed
2 tablespoons flour
salt & pepper
chopped onion

Method

Coat the steak in the flour, stir in onion, salt & pepper,place in a bowl that fits into one of your saucepan's, 1/4 fill saucepan with cold water (allowing for bowl weight). Place lid on saucepan & cook slowly for 2 hours, checking on the water level and add more when reqd. Stir stew every 20 minutes. No lid required for the bowl as the steam from the saucepan lid drips into the stew making a lovely gravy.
This is a lovely tender, tasty stew, an age old recipe that "warms the cockles of your heart" over the winter months
